The vaccination programme is now underway here in Codsall
A local vaccination centre
We are fortunate to have the local vaccine centre here at the Trinity Community Centre which is based at Trinity Methodist Church, Histons Hill, Codsall. All GP surgeries in our Seisdon locality will be using this centre for vaccinations with patients coming from practices in Wombourne, Perton, Brewood, Featherstone, Bilbrook and Codsall.
When will I get the vaccine?
Appointments started in Codsall on Tuesday 15th December 2020 with only a few booked in for this first session. As more vaccines become available practices will be contacting patients that are over 80 years old to book them in for a vaccine. Once all patients in that age group have been contacted we will work on the next target group. Everything depends on the availability of the vaccine so there is no clear timeline yet.
The Centre has arrangements for patients to view information leaflets and go through the consent process, to have the vaccination and also has space for each patient to sit for 15 minutes afterwards to ensure they are safe and well before leaving the building.
As you may have heard on the news, everyone will need to have 2 vaccines, 21 days apart so two appointments have to be booked for each patient. Both appointments MUST be booked or the appointments would need to be postponed.
How do I get an appointment?
PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE PRACTICE
We are working our way through the list of patients. We will be contacting patients individually to go through the procedure because questions regarding medical history are required before a booking can be made.
